World Cup 2008 - players to watch

The 13th Rugby League World Cup gets under way on 25 October, with stars from 10 countries taking centre stage in Australia.

With England, Ireland and Scotland all qualifying, and a strong Super League presence in almost every squad, there is plenty for British fans to get excited about.

And for followers of the NRL, stars of the calibre of Darren Lockyer, Greg Inglis, Benji Marshall and Jarryd Hayne are all on display, promising a festival of top-class action for sports fans across the globe.
