Players to watch - Stanley Gene (Papua New Guinea)
How could we pick anyone other than the hugely popular Peter Pan of rugby league?
Gene, just 5ft 6in tall, has become a cult hero in Super League thanks to his whole-hearted displays for both Hull clubs, Bradford and Huddersfield and there is plenty of skill and nous to go with his seemingly indestructible body.
And the long-standing mystery over Gene's age (officially 34, but estimates vary wildly) adds an extra level of interest for one of the sport's true gentlemen.
Other names to keep an eye on: John Wilshere; Keith Peters; Nico Slain
