Jersey snooker player Gary Britton had the win of his life at the World Series of Snooker as he beat former world champion Ken Doherty 4-1 in St Helier.
Britton recorded a high break of 58 in the final frame to secure one of the greatest wins by a Jersey sportsman.
"It wasn't that difficult. I played well, but Ken didn't play anywhere near as well as he could," the 34-year-old told BBC Radio Jersey.
The former England player then lost 5-2 to Mark Selby in the semi-finals.
"You just play the balls as they are, you don't worry about who you're playing," he said.
Doherty, the 1997 Crucible champion, who lost in the first round of this year's World Championship, was sluggish from the start.
He had several chances in the opening frame but failed to take them and it set the pattern for the match.
Britton had a 3-1 lead and finished off with a break of 58, the highest of the match.
In the other opening matches, Selby cruised into the semi-finals with a quick-fire 4-0 victory over Polish champion Rafal Jewtuch.
John Higgins beat Jersey's Aaron Canavan 4-0. Shaun Murphy lost the opening frame against Guernsey's Martin Desperques but went on to beat him 4-1.
Murphy lost his semi-final to Higgins, who went on to beat Selby 6-3 in the final.
