Neilson excited by Tessier swoop
Nottingham Panthers coach Corey Neilson believes Dan Tessier is the perfect fit to complete his roster.
The 29-year-old Canadian joined the club this week after Chris Richards decided against a move to Nottingham.
Tessier first played for the Panthers three years ago, but quit after just three months for a move to Switzerland.
Neilson told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I've seen Dan develop since he started in Louisiana and he's a fantastic hockey player."
Tessier began his professional career alongside Neilson in Louisiana back in the year 2000.
Neilson added: "He's come along way since then. He was a good hockey player then and we're thrilled to have him now."
