Penguins & Wings close on finals
Pittsburgh notched a 4-2 home victory over to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the NHL Eastern Conference finals.
Two goals in the third period, the first from Max Talbot - back in action after recovering from a broken right foot - broke a 2-2 tie in Pennsylvania.
Jordan Staal's empty-netter with 29 seconds left sealed the win. Sidney Crosby and Marian Hossa also scored.
The Detroit Red Wings also lead their Western Conference finals series against the Dallas Stars 2-0.
The winners will meet in the best-of-seven NHL finals series for the Stanley Cup.
