Canadiens tame Bruins to advance
Montreal eased to a 5-0 victory over Boston to win their NHL Eastern Conference quarter-final series 4-3.
The Canadiens out-shot Boston 35-25 as rookie goaltender Carey Price picked up his second shut-out of the play-offs.
Maintaining their quest for a record 25th Stanley Cup, the Eastern top seeds were roared to victory by a sell-out
crowd of 21,273 at the Bell Centre.
The Bruins had trailed 2-0 and 3-1 in the series before pulling even with wins to force a decider in Quebec.
