Freeze hits race meetings again

Tuesday's National Hunt racing at Sedgefield has been abandoned because of a frozen track.

Temperatures fell to -6C overnight and, following an inspection at 0800 GMT, clerk of the course Charlie Moore was forced to scrap the meeting.

Wednesday's meetings at Fontwell Park and Musselburgh have also been called off, with Fontwell Park clerk Ed Arkell saying there was "no chance" of racing.

Tuesday's meetings at Southwell and Kempton are still going ahead.
