England have selected Loughborough student Nicola White for the Champions Trophy in Australia - only five days after she made her debut.
Forward White, 21, did enough in two matches against Germany last weekend to earn a place in the 18-strong party.
The squad has an average age of only 24 but six of them played for Great Britain at the Beijing Olympics.
They face world and Olympic champions Netherlands, Germany, Argentina, Australia and China from 11 July.
This is England's first appearance in the elite event since 2003.
"Playing against the top sides in the world at a major tournament will provide valuable experience as we build a competitive group over the Olympic cycle," said coach Danny Kerry.
606: DEBATE"We very much hope to use the Champions Trophy as development ahead of the European Championships in Amsterdam in August.
"We will try to play a tight game but with many of the teams in a period of transition like ourselves, predicting results is an almost impossible task."
England squad: Becky Duggan, Beth Storry, Gemma Darrington, Natalie Seymour, Chloe Strong, Laura Unsworth, Kate Walsh, Sally Walton, Ashleigh Ball, Susie Gilbert, Helen Richardson, Chloe Rogers, Kerry Williams, Alex Danson, Jo Ellis, Beckie Herbert, Katie Long, Nicola White.
