England coach Danny Kerry was impressed after his side built on an opening draw with Spain to beat the visitors 3-1 in their second match in Nottingham.
The hosts came back from a goal down thanks to Leicester's Katie Long in Saturday's opening match.
But they were in far more impressive form the following day, opening up a 2-0 lead before half-time.
"In the first half we were dominant and looked like we could cut loose to freely score goals," said Kerry.
"We started the second half in the same vain but tiredness took over and we actually could have thrown it away in the end."
The matches were a final warm-up for the 2009 Champions Trophy, which begins in Sydney, Australia on 11 July.
