Kurten wins major event in Dubai
Jessica Kurten has won 207,000 euro after claiming the biggest victory of her career on Friday.
The Cullybackey women, riding Quibell, triumphed in the Dubai Grand Prix after jumping the only double clear.
The event, which has the biggest Grand Prix prize in show jumping, attracted 28 of the world's top riders.
The success completes a superb double for the 35-year-old, who won the Dubai Masters on board Castle Forbes Libertina on Thursday.
Kurten earned the £21,000 first prize after coming through five rounds.
The rider is competing in Dubai despite suffering a shoulder injury in a fall at her home in Germany before Christmas.
She was told not to ride for six weeks after the fall but she managed to kept her fitness up with a programme of walking and swimming and then felt fit enough to compete in the Middle East.
Kurten is currently fifth in the world rankings.
