Britain's Shelly Woods finished as runner-up for the third time in the New York Marathon women's wheelchair race.
The 23-year-old from Blackpool came home just behind defending champion Edith Hunkeler of Switzerland.
Hunkeler, 37, crossed the line in one hour 58 minutes, 15 seconds - seven seconds ahead of Woods, who just edged Japan's Wakako Tsuchida (1:58:23).
In the men's wheelchair race, defending champion Kurt Fearnley of Australia won a fourth New York title.
The course record holder out-sprinted South African Krige Schabort over the final 200 metres to win on the line by less than a wheelspan.
Both men clocked 1:35:58, with Switzerland's Marcel Hug third in 1:40:43.
