Crates leads superb day for GB
Danny Crates was one of five British medal-winners on the final day of track-and-field action at the IPC World Athletics Championships in Assen.
The Essex runner took gold in the T46 800m in one minute 54.92 seconds.
John McFall won silver in the T42 100m race, Dave Weir took silver in the 200m T54 event and Stephen Payton and Tanni Grey Thompson claimed bronzes.
Weir added silver to his three golds when he finished behind home favourite Kenny Van Weeghel.
The victory gave Crates a full set of championship medals after victories over 800m in the 2004 Athens Paralympics and last year's European Championships.
Crates said: "I wanted it so much and I piled the pressure on myself leading up to the championships - I was desperate to get my hands on the gold.
"It's a relief to know I've finally done it and that I've got the whole set."
Scotland's Payton was third in the T38 400mfinal with Grey Thompson following gold and silver earlier in the week by finishing third in the T53 400m race.
Grey Thompson, 37, said: "In the final 50m there was nothing left in the tank. I was flat out and I couldn't have done any more.
"This will be my last worlds - I won't be here in four years time. It's been a good championships and I think I've done all right here."
In total Britain claimed nine gold medals, nine silvers and eight bronzes.
South Africa's Oscar Pistorius won his third gold medal of the Championships when he earned victory in the T44 200m.
