Taylor in form for Desert Classic
Phil Taylor warmed up for the Las Vegas Desert Classic with victory in the Players Championship on Sunday.
Taylor claimed both his ninth PDC Pro Tour title of the season and the £5,000 first prize with victory at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
'The Power' did not drop a set until he beat Dutchman Michael van Gerwen 3-1 in the quarter-finals.
Taylor then repeated the 3-1 score line over Mark Walsh in the semi-finals and Ronnie Baxter in the final.
