Taylor retains Connecticut title
Stoke's Phil Taylor warmed up in winning style for this week's Premier League play-off finals by retaining his PDC US Open title.
In the final in Connecticut, Taylor beat Colin Lloyd 3-0 and dropped just one set during eight matches.
He said: "I'm delighted, my game plan was to keep my opponent under pressure in every leg and it worked."
The 46-year-old will now switch his attention to trying to win his third Premier League crown in a row.
