George suffers Lakeside heartache
Bobby George failed in his attempt to reach the Lakeside World Championship after falling in the penultimate round of qualifying in Bridlington.
The 60-year-old won four matches before losing to Denmark's Preben Krabben after taking the first five legs.
"I had my chances but missed a couple of doubles and you have to accept that," said the two-time runner-up.
Davy Richardson beat Krabben in the next round to book his place at Frimley Green in January.
Paul Gibbs and Phil Nixon will make their debuts, while Brian Woods also came through qualifying.
Australia's Tony David, winner of the Embassy World Championship in 2002, was among those to miss out on qualifying.
