Tour winner Sastre quits CSC team
Tour de France winner Carlos Sastre has left the CSC team to join the Cervelo TestTeam project.
The Spaniard, 33, said: "Everything in life has a beginning and an end, and for my future I want to find a new motivation to enjoy cycling."
Cervelo is the largest time-trial bike manufacturer in the world.
The team, still seeking a main sponsor, was founded last month as a new outfit that will also concentrate on testing new equipment.
Sastre said on his website: "I decided for the Cervelo team because it is a new project that really fits with my way of life.

"At the same time, we can work at further improving the equipment technology. This project will open the doors to new dreams for the rest of my sporting career."
CSC team director Bjarne Riis said: "Obviously I would have liked to keep Carlos but I respect that he has several objectives to achieve with his new team."
