Mark Cavendish Britain's Mark Cavendish kept up his impressive recent form with a second stage win in the Tour of Catalunya.

The T-Mobile rider, who had already won stage two of the Tour, outmuscled Leonardo Duque and Paolo Bossoni in a bunch sprint at Lloret de Mar.

Overall leader Vladimir Karpets was caught up in a major crash five kilometres from the end but recovered to maintain his lead.

He is favourite to claim the win when the event ends in Barcelona on Sunday.
