Armstrong faces defamation trial
Lance Armstrong has been ordered to stand trial in Italy on charges of defaming cyclist Filippo Simeoni.
The seven-times Tour de France winner lost a preliminary hearing and will be tried in Simeoni's home town of Latina, near Rome, on 7 March.
Armstrong criticised Simeoni in an interview with Le Monde in 2003.
The 34-year-old American does not face going to prison and will not have to attend the trial.
