Jackson takes world indoor title
England's Billy Jackson triumphed in the final of the World Indoor Bowls Championships, beating Hereford's Robert Weale 11-6 10-10 in Norfolk.
The number 12 seed from Lincoln never looked back in his first World Bowls Tour final after recording a four on the first end of the match.
Jackson, 38, told BBC Sport: "I'm speechless - this is unbelievable.
"I was nervous coming into this match, and the four on the first end was the worst possible start for Rob."
Welshman Weale said: "I thought we both played extremely well - but his first couple of bowls on each end were superb.
"But you never want to drop a four in the first end of any match - let alone a world championship final That was a great start for him.
"I thought the way Billy played was awesome."
Jackson was presented with the winner's trophy and a cheque for £30,000, while Weale takes home £14,000.
