Birmingham withdrawn from league
Birmingham will not have a team in the British Basketball League next season, after the Panthers had their franchise withdrawn by the league.
The Panthers competed for only one season during which they won six out of 33 League games.
They struggled financially for much of the season and were given a 31 May deadline to clarify their position.
They are the second Birmingham-based team to fold in recent years following the demise of the Bullets in 2006.
