Ballina 123-106 MDS Star
A depleted Star side failed to continue its good run of form in the North Conference, losing out to Ballina.
American Jimmy Hughes was particularly impressive for Darren O'Neill's men, with 37 points and 12 rebounds.
But, without top scorer Nate Connolly and Stephen Dawson, the Belfast side struggled to compete with an experienced Ballina outfit.
They pulled to within eight points in the third quarter, but that was as close as Star came to the Mayo side.
