Pennington opts to join Dolphins
Former New York Jets quarterback Chad Pennington has agreed a two-year deal with the Miami Dolphins.
Pennington was released by the Jets when NFL great Brett Favre joined from Green Bay this week.
The 32-year old had been the Jets starter since 2002. He was benched after a 1-7 start last season but was later restored as their starting QB.
Pennington is known for his accurate arm, holding a 65.6 career completion percentage.
He joins fellow quarterbacks Josh McCown and John Beck at the Dolphins, who finished a dismal 1-15 last season.
