Ireland defeat Chile in qualifier

Ireland's men defeated Chile 4-1 in their latest World Cup Qualifier in Argentina on Sunday.

Alan Sothern scored three goals for the Irish with John Jermyn netting the other against a side Ireland had beaten 4-0 in a tournament warm-up match.

Ireland began their campaign with a 6-1 drubbing of Argentina on Saturday.

Michael Watt notched a hat-trick for the dominant Irish while Stephen Butler scored a brace with Mitch Darling also on target.
