Island's unsung hero up for award
Barry Bartlett has been nominated for the South West's Unsung Sporting Hero award for his work with equestrianism in Guernsey.
A gas inspector by trade, Barry spends much of his time outside work helping with all aspects of show jumping.
As well as being a commentator, he is also a judge and builds the courses.
People within the island's show jumping scene say they do not know how they would cope without Bartlett's tireless efforts on their behalf.
