East Grinstead ready for Europe
East Grinstead hockey manager Matt Jones says they aim to qualify for the knock-out stages of the Euro Hockey League in their competition debut.
The Sussex side face Belgian champions Waterloo Ducks and Scotland's Kelburne in Lille this weekend.
Team manager Jones told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "Both matches will be incredibly tough.
"We feel we are very adaptable. We have an experienced midfield and a fast-flowing, exciting, front line."
Around 100 East Grinstead fans are expected to make the trip to France, with Jones hoping they can make a difference.
"They are a fantastic asset for us and hopefully we can give them two exciting games and qualification," he said.
