Paralympic event:
Wheelchair basketball (18-28 Sept)
Gymnastics and basketball will take place nine kilometres north of Athens city centre at Maroussi's Indoor Hall.
It is situated only 500m from the main Olympic complex and stadium, and served by the new Neratziotissa metro station.
The arena features a unique roof supported by only four huge pillars, each 35m tall, and is the largest construction of its kind in the world.
The hall will host the basketball knock-out stages as well as both artistic gymnastics and trampoline.
Home to the local basketball club, renovations have included incorporating natural sunlight throughout the day and doubling capacity to 19,250.
During the Paralympics, it will be used for the men's and women's wheelchair basketball tournaments.
