China win doubles gold
Chen Qi and Ma Lin of China took gold in the men's doubles table tennis after beating Lai Chak Ko and Ching Li of Hong Kong.
Denmark's Michael Maze and Finn Tugwell took the bronze.
China have another chance of a medal in the women's singles, when Zhang Yining takes on Kim Hyang Mi of North Korea.
Zhang beat South Korean Kim Kyung-ah 13-11 11-8 11-6 5-11 11-8 while Hyang defeated Jia Wei Li of Singapore 8-11 11-6 0-11 8-11 11-8 11-6 11-9.
China have won every women's singles gold since table tennis became an Olympic sport in 1988 in Seoul.
