Kabaeva wins rhythmic gold
Russia's Alina Kabaeva produced a wonderful display of artistry to win gold in the rhythmic gymnastics individual all-round final.
The 21-year-old two-time world champion registered a score of 108.4 points after five events to finish ahead of compatriot Irina Tchachina.
Tchachina looked to be heading for victory but a mistake with the ribbon cost her the gold medal.
Ukraine's Anna Bessonova took the third position on the podium for bronze.
