Belgian horse put down

A horse belonging to the Belgian three-day event team was put down after falling in Tuesday's cross-country.

Over and Over, ridden by Joris Vanspringel, suffered a broken left femur in the accident.

"It's a terrible blow for the team and for the rider but we will continue," said Belgium's Ingmar Devos.

Following the cross-country British rider William Fox-Pitt was forced to withdraw due to a minor injury to his horse Tamarillo.
