James Crisp became the third British swimmer of the evening to win gold in a world's best time.
Crisp took the S9 classification of the men's 100m backstroke in 1min 5.15secs.
Gold
Hazel Robson turned the tables on Caroline Innes as the pair took gold and silver for Great Britain in the T36 classification of the women's 100m.
Innes - winner of both the 200m and 400m - struggled after a slow start and never looked like reeling in Robson who blazed the trail in lane four.
Robson won in a time of 15.73 seconds with the fast-finishing Innes second in 15.96secs.
Birmingham's Vicki Broadribb swam to gold and a new world record in the S2 classification of the women's 50m freestyle.
Beating
Broadribb recorded a time of one minute and 15.46secs in beating Mairead Berry of Ireland who came home in 1:17.14 to take silver.
Great Britain's Equestrian team secured their second gold medal in two days when Nicola Tustain won the Individual Dressage Grade Two event at Horsley Park in Sydney.
The 23-year-old registered a score of 77.45 points to beat Holland's Joop Stokkel into second place.
Tustain's victory puts Great Britain two golds above Spain in their quest to finish runners-up behind hosts Australia in the medals table.
Equal terms
Thomas Evans, who narrowly missed out on bronze in the cycling time trial, was finally rewarded with a silver medal in the DV3 mixed bicycle road race despite finishing on equal terms with gold medallist Daniel Nicholson of America.
Elsewhere, Jonathan Ward took bronze in the F13 classification of the men' shot putt behind Haitao Sun with a putt of 13.38m.
The Chinese athlete's enormous putt of 16.46 not only took gold, but also set a new world record.
