Brits haul more golds
Essex teenager Lloyd Upsdell broke his own world record as Britain claimed gold and bronze in the T35 classification 220m at the Sydney Paralympics on Sunday.
Upsdell, a 17-year-old Nottingham University student, won in a time of 27.17secs - knocking more than a second off his previous best.
Bromsgrove's 18-year-old Richard White took bronze behind Roman Dzyuba of Ukraine.
Upsdell said: "I wasn't expecting a world record, I just came here to win gold and I'm so proud I've done that."
And White added: "I felt so relaxed. It's fantastic to get a medal in my first Paralympics.

"Lloyd broke the world record and I got a season's best - it couldn't have gone any better."
Upsdell's and White's exploits underlined another successful day in Sydney for the Great Britain team.
Emma Brown emulated Upsdell's achievement in the powerlifting competition, as she eclipsed her own world record to take gold in the 82.5 kilos women's event.
Brown, from Pontypridd, won with a lift of 135 kilos - 2.5 more than her previous mark - and said: "It was heavy going, so I'm very relieved.
"The weight felt very heavy and I was feeling the pressure - not from the other competitors, but from everyone else."
Earlier on day four of the Games, Tanni Grey-Thompson added to her victory in the 800m by winning gold in the T53 100m event.
