Top Brits drug tested

Jackson and his colleagues were tested within hours of arriving at the Olympic village, with the Welshman denied the chance to eat a meal before the test.

Among the other athletes tested were 100m and marathon stars Jason Gardener and Jon Brown, both of whom are staying at the British athletic camp at Surfers Paradise on Queensland's Gold Coast.

"So far they have tested every athlete within a few hours of them getting here," said a spokeswoman for UK Athletics.

Unannounced

The athletes are not the only British representatives to receive unannounced visits.

Other sports - including the highly successful rowers who it is believed had two tests in a three-day period - have been included in the testing schedule.

Other countries who are also staying to prepare at the "Sunshine Coast" have also received almost instant visits on arrival from the Australian testing team.
