Cao completes Chinese clean sweep
Cao Lei hoisted three Olympic records to win weightlifting gold and complete a clean sweep for China's women.
Competing in the 75kg category, she lifted 128kg in the snatch and 154kg in the clean and jerk for a 282kg total.
The 24-year-old's performance means Chinese women have claimed gold in all four events they entered, the maximum number in which they could compete.
Alla Vazhenina of Kazakhstan won silver in a close duel with Russian lifter Nadezda Evstyukhina, who took bronze.
