Jones fails first Olympic trial
Wiltshire swimmer Chris Jones has failed in his first bid to qualify for the Beijing Olympics.
The 25-year-old from Cadley, near Marlborough, finished seventh in the 100m breaststroke final at the Olympic trials in Sheffield on Wednesday.
The Swindon Dolphin will make a second attempt to make the Olympic squad later this week in the 200m breaststoke.
Jones must beat the Olympic qualifying time in his heat on Thursday, as well as finish first or second in the final.
