Olympic Dreams - Shanaze Reade
Age 19, BMX cycling
There is nothing Speedy Ready cannot do on two wheels - she's a world champion in BMX and on the track.
From Crewe, she started out in athletics, but fell in love with BMX aged 10 and has gone on to win a load of junior titles, including eight European and three World Championships.
She recently successfully defended her BMX world crown and, after saying her goals would "never be complete until she is Olympic champion", she heads to Beijing in buoyant mood as firm favourite.
