British women to take on Germany
Great Britain's women have been drawn alongside defending Olympic champions Germany at this summer's Beijing Games.
The Germans, surprise winners in Athens four years ago, are also the reigning European champions.
Britain, currently ranked 10th in the world, will also face world number two Argentina, Japan (sixth), New Zealand (seventh) and the USA (11th).
Britain's men will face 2004 champions Australia, runners-up Holland, Pakistan, South Africa and Canada.
The other pool sees world champions Germany face Spain, Korea, New Zealand, Belgium and hosts China.
The pools were organised on world rankings, with GB (eighth) having to face three teams rated above them.
The men booked their place at the Olympics via a qualifying tournament in Chile last month.
England women's team secured Britain's Beijing place at the EuroHockey Nations Championship last August.
