France secure gold in men's sabre
France won the men's team sabre gold medal on Sunday with a 45-37 final victory over the United States.
Nicolas Lopez, Vincent Anstett, Julien Pillet and Boris Sanson won for France with Italy claiming the bronze medal.
Although Keeth Smart won two bouts and tied a third, the French, featuring individual silver medallist Lopez, finished comfortably.
France had earlier beaten Egypt and Italy, while the US had eliminated world champions Hungary and Russia.
