Ukraine clinch team sabre title
Ukraine beat China to win the women's team sabre gold after the host nation's last fencer squandered a healthy lead.
China had been on course for victory when they led 40-36, but team leader Tan Xue was unable to subdue Olena Khomrova and Ukraine triumphed 45-44.
Ukraine beat the American team of Mariel Zagunis, Sada Jacobson and Becca Ward, who swept the individual sabre medals, in the semi-final.
The Americans picked up bronze after beating world champions France 45-38.
