Lomachenko storms to Beijing gold
Vasyl Lomachenko claimed Ukraine's second Olympic boxing medal with a stunning first-round victory over Frenchman Khedafi Djelkhir in Beijing.
The featherweight, who has been in superb form throughout the tournament, secured the win when Djelkhir received his third standing count.
In the heavyweight division, Rakhim Chakhkiev clinched Russia's first boxing gold of the Beijing Games.
He won a gritty contest with Italy's Clemente Russo 4-2.
Chakhkiev, who got the decisive points late in the bout, is the first non-Cuban to win the Olympic heavyweight title since 1988.
