Price seals British boxing medal
Super-heavyweight David Price is guaranteed a boxing medal after his opponent was forced to retire in their quarter-final bout on Monday.
Price, from Liverpool, had been on the front foot in the first round and led Jaroslav Jaksto 3-1 when the bell rang.
But the Lithuanian injured his left leg in the final seconds of the round and despite treatment from his corner they were forced to throw in the towel.
"I've had my share of bad luck and I'm not complaining," Price told BBC Sport.
Price faces Italian world champion Roberto Cammarelle in Friday's semi-final.
The 25-year-old has now fought just two rounds to win his two fights in Beijing but said he is ready to go the full four rounds in the semi-finals if required.
"I've only had two rounds since the tournament started. It's a bit of anti-climax that victory for me but I'm not complaining.
"If the fight goes four rounds I know I'm fit enough. It will come and I'll be ready for it when it does."

Given his serene progress so far Price will be disappointed if he can't upgrade that bronze medal

The losing boxers in Olympic semi-finals are both awarded bronze medals, while the winners go through to the final to fight for gold and silver.
