Magee earns a place at Olympics
Badminton player Chloe Magee has earned a place on the Irish team for the Beijing Olympics in August.
The 19-year-old from Raphoe, County Donegal, won the coveted spot as a result of her world singles ranking of 65 and her ranking of 25 in Europe.
Magee is a full-time professional who plays mostly in Sweden and Badminton Ireland will ask the Olympic Council of Ireland to now confirm her selection.
Scott Evans will also represent the Ireland team in badminton.
