BBC Sport's Olympic alerts

81008 on a mobile phone

Make sure you don't miss the best medal moments of the Games by signing up for BBC Sport's free Olympic alerts.

By signing up for this service, you will receive up to two free SMS messages each day of the Games, alerting you to some key upcoming Olympic action.

Typically we'll give you about 15-30 minutes warning of the action you'll want to follow.

Whether it's the dramatic men's 100 metre final in the athletics or an opportunity for a Briton to win gold, we'll let you know so you can keep in touch with the latest events on BBC TV, radio, online and on mobile.

The action in Beijing runs from around 2am to 5pm UK time - with much of the best action happening during the day, particularly the athletics which takes place from 12.30pm-3.30pm.

We promise not to send you any alerts before 7.30am UK time.

To sign up for this service text the word ALERTS to 81008. You will pay 10-15p to send this message to the BBC. The Olympic alerts you receive after that will be free of charge.

You can unsubscribe from the service at any time by texting STOP to 81008.
