Youngest Olympian Colledge dies
Britain's youngest Olympian, Cecilia Colledge, has died, aged 87.
Colledge was 11 years and 73 days old when she competed in the women's single skating competition at the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York.
She is the youngest athlete to have competed at the Winter Olympics and went on to win a silver medal at the 1936 Olympics in Germany.
Colledge, who was known for her innovative style, was world champion in 1937 and a five-time British champion.
She died on 12 April at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts and will be cremated and buried in England.
Colledge had moved to the USA to coach and was a full-time teacher at The Skating Club of Boston from 1952 to 1977 before continuing coaching part-time until 1990.
She was inducted into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 1980.
