British Olympic show jumper Ben Maher ended his maiden World Cup final with a creditable seventh place in Las Vegas.
Maher and his horse, Robin Hood W, had the first fence down in round one but were otherwise faultless during the event at the Thomas & Mack Center.
The competition was won by Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, the defending champion from Germany, finishing ahead of McLain Ward and Albert Zoer.
British veteran Michael Whitaker, 49, was 22nd in the 45-strong field.
Maher and Whitaker will now target the European Championships in Windsor in late August.
Maher, who co-owns Robin Hood W with Michael and Emma Phillips, was forced to seek a new ride after the horse he rose in Beijing, Rolette, was sold by her owners.
606: DEBATEMeanwhile Robert Whitaker, nephew of Michael, has been crowned British Open show jumping champion for a third time.
Whitaker and Lacroix 9 successfully defended the title they won in Birmingham last year, earning prize money of £25,000.
Fellow Brit Nick Skelton came fifth with Ellen Whitaker in sixth and Guy Williams a place further back.
Holland's Nathalie van der Mei, on Heechhiem's Springtime, claimed second place, with Robert Smith and Vangelis S taking third.
