St Gall's credentials as prospective AIB Ulster Club Champions should be tested strongly in Sunday's quarter-final against Pearse Og at Casement.
The Belfast club struggled for much of their preliminary round win over Cavan Gaels before coming good late on.
Pearse Og dethroned Crossmaglen in the Armagh championship and will fancy their chances in the west Belfast game.
The extra week is unlikely to have done Gall's any harm after a heavy recent workload for several of their dual men.
St Gall's include six of the Antrim squad which reached this year's Ulster Football final and can also call on Rory Gallagher and the three McGourty brothers, CJ, Kevin and Ciaran.
The presence of Antrim stars Terry O'Neill, Colin Brady, Andrew McClean, Aodhan Gallagher, Kevin Niblock and Sean Burke plus Gallagher and the McGourtys makes St Gall's look a very strong outfit.
However, over-elaboration hindered Gall's efforts against Cavan Gaels and it was only the introduction of Darren O'Hare to full-forward and the employing of more direct tactics, which helped sway the game in their favour.
Pearse Og are spearheaded by the four Clarke brothers, Ronan, Sean, Conor and Ross although Marc Cullen was the leading scorer in the Armagh decider with five points.
Ogs are also hoping to be boosted by the presence of JP Donnelly who is hoping to get his red card from the Armagh decider overturned.
Other key Ogs players include Armagh county men Ciaran McKinney, Andy Mallon and Paul Duffy while Gerard McCoy, Gerald Barton and Chris Rafferty are also useful performers.
If the Clarke brothers get going, St Gall's will be in trouble but the Belfast side get a hesitant vote to stay on course to repeat their 2005 provincial triumph.
