Liatroim beat Longstone in replay
Five points from Patrick Pearse McCartan helped Liatroim Fontenoys edge out Longstone 0-7 to 0-5 in Saturday's Powerade Down SFC replay at Burren.
In a game played in dreadfully wet conditions, the sides were level at 0-3 to 0-3 at the interval after Liatroim's Mark Doran had missed a penalty.
Longstone's Mark Poland and Liatroim's Colin McCrickard both received straight red cards in the second half.
Patrick Pearse McCartan hit five points for the winners.
Barry Doran scored four points for Longstone but he will rue his penalty miss in such a tight, low-scoring game.
Poland appeared to get his red card for remonstrating with the referee in the 45th minute while former Down county player McCrickard received his marching orders for a bad challenge.
The win earns Liatroim a quarter-final clash with Saval.
The quarter-final draw is: Kilcoo v Burren; Bryansford v Mayobridge; Downpatrick v Loughinisland; Saval v Liatroim.
