Liatroim face Longstone in replay

Ambrose Rogers is ruled out for Longstone

Liatroim Fontenoys clash with Longstone in a Powerade Down SFC replay at Burren on Saturday evening (1700 BST).

The teams played out a thrilling draw last weekend and another excellent encounter is expected.

Longstone, already without injured county star Ambrose Rogers, could be without fitness doubt Mark Doran.

Liatroim's key players include Patrick Pearse McCartan, Aidan O'Prey and Declan Burns while Longstone's squad includes Barry Doran and Ryan Kelly.

Kilcoo hammered An Riocht 3-15 to 0-3 in Tuesday evening's clash at Dundrum.

After leading 0-6 to 0-3 at half-time, Kilcoo took complete control thanks to two goals from Gary McAvoy while Conor Laverty finished with 1-6.

Downpatrick beat Ballymartin 2-7 to 2-6 in Tuesday's game at Clonduff.

Ben O'Reilly's first-half goal helped Loughinisland beat Rostrevor 1-8 to 1-5 on Monday while holders Mayobridge defeated Clonduff 2-11 to 0-14.

Loughinisland led 1-3 to 0-1 at the break but a missed O'Reilly penalty gave Rostrevor hope and Colm Murney's 52nd-minute got cut the margin to two.

However, late points from O'Reilly and John McCarthy made the game safe.

Holders Mayobridge defeated with Eoghan Woods and Adrian Barry scoring the important goals to set up a quarter-final tie with Bryansford.

Bryansford, Burren and Saval claimed victories in the weekend first-round games.

Bryansford edged out Castlewellan 0-6 to 0-5, Burren hammered Atticall 2-13 to 0-5 while Saval defeated Ballyholland 0-12 to 0-9.


The quarter-final draw is: Kilcoo v Burren; Bryansford v Mayobridge; Downpatrick v Loughinisland; Saval v Liatroim/Longstone.
