Kildare 1-16 1-15 Cavan

Cavan's Seanie Johnston gets in front of Andrew McLaughlin

An injury-time goal gave Kildare a dramatic All-Ireland SFC qualifier victory over Cavan at Newbridge.

Kieran McGeeney's side dominated the first half and led the visitors 0-10 to 0-6 at the break.

Paul Brady punched into the net for Cavan just 56 seconds after restart, only for Kildare to regain control.

But Cavan fought back and were two points ahead going into added time before James Kavanagh netted to end the Ulster side's championship campaign.
