Armagh v Fermanagh
ULSTER CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL
Venue: Clones.
Date: Sunday, 20 July.
Throw-in: 1400 BST.
Coverage: Live: BBC2 NI, Radio Ulster MW and on the BBC NI website
Barry Owens will not be a starter for Fermanagh in the Ulster SFC final against Armagh on 20 July, according to Erne boss Malachy O'Rourke.
The former All Star made a sensational return from heart surgery when he came off the bench to score a goal in the semi-final victory over Derry.
O'Rourke believes Owens will not be fit enough to start at Clones but expects the Teemore man to feature in the game.
Full-back Hugh Brady is a doubt for the decider because of a back injury.
O'Rouke told the Irish News that Ulster final will come too early for Owens.
"He won't start - a fit Barry Owens would obvioulsy be an automatic starter," he said.
"I think it would be asking too much. He has only played a wee bit of club football.
"He played 15 minutes against Derry and hoefully he will be fit to play some more the next day.
"The day after the Derry game I was talking to him and even though he played ony 15 minutes he was absolutely exhausted and very sore. It took an awful lot out of him."
