Galvin poised for six-month ban
Kerry captain Paul Galvin is facing a six-month suspension following his dismissal in Sunday's Munster SFC semi-final victory over Clare.
The wing-forward slapped the notebook out of referee Paddy Russell's hand after receiving a second yellow card before remonstrating with the linesman.
Galvin apologised for the incidents but the Central Competitions Control Committee has proposed the long ban.
He would miss Kerry's All-Ireland campaign if the punishment stands.
However, Galvin can request a hearing before the CCCC and may then appeal the suspension.
